Gemma arterton

Gemma Christina Arterton is an English actress who has been known for her performances in movies including 'Quantum Solace' and 'The Disappearance of Alice Creed', and 'Hansel and Grete: Witch Hunters'. Her birthplace was Gravesend near Greater London. Her career began after studying at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and then made her debut on film by playing a part on the comedy movie 'St Trinian's'. The film followed shortly thereafter in "Quantum of Solace", the James Bond spy thriller. The film was commercially successful, but received mostly average reviews. In the following film, she was the leading female role in the fantasy action film "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time". In recent times, she was a supporting part for"Orphan" in the French movie "Orphan". Arterton was nominated for numerous awards throughout her acting career to date, one of which was she won the 'Empire Award for Best Newcomer for her role in the film 'Quantum Of Solace', and also the "Evening Standards Theatre Award' for her role in the musical 'Made In Dagenham'.
