Sharon Yvonne Stone, born March 10, 1958 at Meadville (Pennsylvania) was the daughter of Dorothy Lawson, a former factory worker, and Joseph William Stone, a maker of tools and dies. She has three siblings: Michael, Kelly, and Patrick. Stone was considered academically gifted as a child and began in second grade at the age of five. She was a graduate of Saegertown High School located in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. She also competed winning at the Miss Pennsylvania beauty contest. Stone, along with her aunt in 1977, made the move to New Jersey for a modeling job. She was signed by Ford Modeling Agency a week later. Then, she moved to Europe, spending a year in Milan in Italy and Paris. Stone, disillusioned at the model world within Europe decided to take up acting as she lived in Europe. Woody Allen starred in "Stardust Memories" that was a film with mixed reviews, at age twenty.
